- The cart splits a drink's price into the drink at 25 % VAT and the 0.10 € bottle deposit with no VAT.
- Price per litre, anchor price and lowest price in the last 30 days, following Croatian price display rules.
Challenge
The shop ran on the previous agency's server, and the client wanted it under their own control. Prices did not show the bottle deposit the way the client intended, and VAT on drinks was not split correctly.
The online shop of ANNI LASICA from Šibenik, Croatia: drinks, wine, food and household products, around 640 products. Another agency built it. I took it over, moved it to the client's server and made prices and VAT compliant.
What I did
- Move to the client's server
- Code, database and images handed over by the agency. A rehearsal before the switch, a rollback plan and new passwords for every service.
- Domain and business email
- DNS on Cloudflare, business email moved with its old messages, shop emails sent through Brevo with SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
- VAT and bottle deposit
- Correct calculation for drinks with a deposit and the reduced 5 % rate for olive oil.
- Compliant prices
- Price per litre or kilogram, lowest price in 30 days, a daily price list and an admin tool to fix price history.
- Card payments
- Fixed Stripe checkout, order confirmations and customer emails.

Result
